One hour south of Perth in rural Serpentine, this unique heritage shed full of vintage charm, offers a welcoming creative space for women to gather and share skills.
The ReStore Space brings together makers, teachers, and small businesses in a supportive, cottage-style creative community. Through hands-on workshops, support sessions and collaborative events, it offers practical inspiration and opportunities to connect.
Surrounded by gardens and guided by a love of art, nature and community, it welcomes visitors for workshops, creative gatherings and special events.

This heritage building offers a unique retreat designed to inspire. Perfect for art classes, seminars, educators, community gatherings and creative groups seeking somewhere special to gather.
Whether you are attending a workshop or wanting to hire the space to teach, versatile resources await, with spacious work areas, wash troughs, table-mounted power points and ample room, the facilities and surrounding gardens are here for you to enjoy.
You'll find a small curated range of handmade gifts, stitched projects, paper, pottery, potted plants and flower arrangements sourced and grown locally, mostly from my garden! And of course I can hook you up with some vintage terracotta pots!
What's on offer at the restore space
This character-filled space offers both indoor and outdoor areas, connected by French doors that open onto a covered alfresco with multiple seating areas.
It has been designed to host small gatherings, events and workshops in a relaxed setting where people can connect and be inspired.
The venue includes a wood stove for cosy winter nights, a fire pit, kitchen and bathroom facilities, and a large screen TV suitable for presentations.

This new space is designed to host all sorts of creative gatherings from writing workshops to furniture fixup sessions, reviving and restoring old pieces and every sort of art and craft activity in between. I teach a variety of workshops and am always seeking to have other artists come in and teach their skills. The joy is in the connection, sharing and collaborating! The most important part of offering this space is to bring people together, to learn, teach, to inspire and support.

I work with a range of materials and always have a small curated collection available for purchase. The seasons always inspire something new from the garden -pressed and dry flowers, ceramic buttons, weavings, vintage bobbins, stitched projects, felt flowers or wreaths.
I have a variety set up here in the studio for people to pop in, browse what’s on offer, and perhaps find a special gift to purchase -or be inspired to make yourself in a workshop!

This jarrah workbench once served as a platform where local farmers delivered eggs, fruit, vegetables and meat for transport to market.
Today, it brings people together in a different way -a table for 12 to gather to create and share ideas.
With help from the Serpentine Jarrahdale Historical Society, photos and local memories have been compiled to bring the story back to life.
You're welcome to read more about the history -or visit during open hours to experience the history for yourself.
