Sharing this heritage shed with the community the best way I know how, through art and craft, coffee and cake, and vintage vibes!
Hello, I'm Leah...

Welcome to The ReStore Space!

Since moving to Serpentine seven years ago, I have been quietly preparing a space with the dream of creating a type of women’s shed – an art and craft studio where women can gather, share skills, teach, learn from one another, and build joyful connections.

I am a GARDEN LOVER and have been setting up the surrounding gardens to support future workshops: Vines, foliage, and flowers have been planted especially for floral arranging, wreath making, weaving, eco-dyeing, pressing and preserving, or simply to photograph and use as inspiration to draw, paint, sculpt or carve -I love it all and set it up to share with likeminded people!
I have salvaged an eclectic mix of vintage, weathered and beautifully aged pieces with interesting textures — whether in a branch, seed pod, old mesh, rusty bolts, or worn furniture - things that can be restored, reimagined or repurposed, that all adds to the character of this heritage shed.

Renovating has been a passion and along the way I have learned tiling, cement work, bricklaying, creating decorative paths, and using plasters to add texture to walls and furniture.
I love mixed media and all these materials can be applied to small creative projects.
I'd love to teach women to give power tools a go starting with small projects that require a drill, various saws, staple gun, or just some sandpaper, a paintbrush and some wax.

I've learned, if you can mix icing sugar, you can mix cement!

So here I am — with a Bachelor of Arts, a background in upholstery and soft furnishings, a love of gardening and any practical medium — opening this creative space to the community.

I look forward to welcoming art lovers, crafters and gardeners into this shared studio - The ReStore Space -

The ReStore Space is all about restoring materials, restoring creativity, and perhaps restoring a little bit of ourselves along the way.
